but I'm almost 100% sure, that in original you were capable to shoot from each weapon independently. Of course the interface was slow, but not that slow. I did use "fire phasers / fire missiles / back to phasers" combo during fights, and it did work. (not in remake)

another big difference is that you can't shoot over buildings. In original you could shoot at approarching enemy robot while you are capturing factory. If your robot is high enough, you can't shoot with bipod+cannon, those shots will end in the factory entrance block ... bipod+cannon+laser made laser high enough to shot over factory entrance tile. Factory itself was too high for any possible combination, but the entrance is lower.
Also there were in original map good spots where you could put your robot behind a small wall, and let him guard the next street behind small wall, so any enemy robot trying to go down the street was being shot before it was capable to get into position to return fire.

The poor AI of original did make these advantages very powerful for player, and the original game was really easy with these "tricks". As the AI didn't use any good defensive spots and also it's attack was never coordinated.
But a remake with better AI and original (logical) behaviour would be really great.

The current weapon/collision behaviour is making the game lot more hard even with AI similar to original game, what is somewhat good, but I miss the original behaviour.

Hi Ped,

Yes, everything that you say is true. I should update the remake and make a 0.6 version someday...

about the enemy AI, I've some ideas to improve it, but I just need to find time to implement all those ideas... If only days had 28 hours instead of 24 I'd have time to do all the projects I want to do!!

anyway, thanks for commenting the game!
